BQ06/BQ07/BQ09 - Project work

The focus of the project work is on the area of "Entrepreneurship and Financing". For this purpose, the chair will provide a selection of topics from which the students can choose their own topic after acceptance for the project work. The acceptance for the project work takes place 1-2 weeks after the application deadline on May 15.

The project work has a scope of 15 text pages without figures and is to be completed within a period of 6 weeks after the topic has been assigned. Withdrawal from the module is possible within a maximum period of two weeks after the issue of the project work topic without giving further reasons.

The results of the project work are to be presented in a 15-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute discussion.

The grade for the project work is made up of the written work (60%) and the presentation and discussion (40%).

Topics covered during the 2024 summer semester included:

• The relevance of the founding team for the success of start-ups

• Venture lending as a financing alternative: Critical analysis from the perspective of start-ups

• Distribution of roles in international venture capital syndicates: Who leads, who follows?

• The German business angel scene: structures, trends and challenges

• The role of mezzanine capital in the growth financing of start-ups

Registration closes on May 15^th of each year.  The start of the project work takes place annually on July 15^th and October 1^st.
